Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can buy a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
